About the Event
Are you familiar with that blissful sensation during yoga practice; when you have escaped your mind? You get focused on your breath and the flow of energy in your body. The challenges of our lives seem to be put on hold and we can be in the present moment. Our attention is within and our awareness extends to our body.
Whether we practice yoga to gain flexibility or strengthen our core, there is an undeniable effect that extends beyond physical exercise, which is an overall feeling of relaxation and peace of mind. Yoga can be practiced with minimal equipment and its postures can be adapted to different levels of mobility. Apart from its physical benefits, emotional and spiritual effects can be subtly and deeply experienced as well.
As with Reiki, a gentle yet powerful healing technique that can also support feelings of being more at peace with oneself, grounded, centered and at ease. This light-touch, self-care process can enhance the body to natural homeostasis, build resilience and support one to access their innate wholeness, a sense of inner spaciousness, by calming the nervous system and restoring balance to all levels of being; body, mind and soul.
I find great value in pairing Reiki with yoga because as well as both being accessible and versatile, they share these same meditative healing qualities. Both are a kind of energetic medicine and will invite you to deepen and cultivate your experience with each.
