About the Event

Join Gong percussionist, +500hr certified yoga instructor and energy medicine practitioner, Claudia D’Emilia Iafrate, for mystical gong vibrations under the first rising New Moon of 2023.

The first new moon of 2023, it happens once a month when the Moon and the Sun converge in the dark sky, setting off a new cycle of light. When the Moon is new, it's invisible to us on Earth, then it slowly appears as a very thin crescent of light. While the energy of a new Moon lasts for about three days before and after the lunation, the Moon is technically only new for a moment—when the Sun and the Moon are directly aligned in the sky. Auspicious timing, during this phase of the Moon, Gong vibrations amp up the energy in your intentions and supportive habits that you'll develop as the Luna waxes toward fullness. Connecting to these lunar energies can provide grounding and a sense of direction.

Experience a short guided relaxation and breath practice (pranayama) before Gong and a meditation following.
